Mission to Qoya, Peru April 8–17

We started our trip on Friday afternoon from LAX.  We arrived in Lima around 10:00 pm. local time. All of us were tired but our spirits were high. We spent the night at the Ramada hotel near the airport.  Early today after breakfast we met for a short time to go over some of the logistics.  Our departure from Lima was around noon time and arrived in Cusco about an hour later.  We were greeted by Guido and Sandy Del Prado from the Kausay Wasi clinic and some other team members who arrived earlier.  After a short stop at the exchange center and a 45 minute ride, we arrived safely in Coya. We are staying in the guest house managed by Ulrike which is at a walking distance to the clinic.  Sandy and Guido gave us a short orientation on the clinic and other important information.  A short lunch followed and we headed to the clinic to start unpacking and to get ready for tomorrow.
